Who can apply?
The program is open to nonresident students entering grades K–12. Admission is based on space availability at each campus and within specific programs.
Is there a cost to participate?
No. Allen Advantage is tuition-free for accepted students. However, families are responsible for transportation and any activity-related fees such as athletics, clubs, or fine arts.
Is transportation provided?
Transportation is not provided. Families must arrange transportation to and from school.
What are the eligibility requirements?
- Residency: Reside outside of Allen ISD boundaries and be a resident of the State of Texas at the time the transfer request is submitted.

- Conduct: Exhibit good citizenship and behavior, with no serious disciplinary infractions on record.
- Commitment: Agree to uphold the Allen ISD Student Code of Conduct and adhere to all expectations outlined in the Allen Advantage program.
How do families apply?

- Online application form
- Academic, attendance and discipline records (prior/current year)
- Proof of residency (showing non-Allen ISD address)

Acceptance is valid for one school year only. Families must reapply each year to continue enrollment.
How does annual renewal work?
Returning students in good standing who continue to demonstrate appropriate academic progress and meet both attendance and conduct expectations will receive priority renewal consideration before new applicants. Continued enrollment depends on attendance, discipline, and available space.
What happens if a student’s attendance or behavior does not meet expectations?
Students must maintain good attendance and conduct throughout the school year. Open enrollment status may be revoked if a student exceeds 10 unexcused absences or violates the Allen ISD Student Code of Conduct.
